Life has a way of pulling us away from the things that truly nourish us. For years, I worked in a demanding career in education that left me physically and mentally drained. Like many, I reached a point where burnout and health issues caught up with me. But through that struggle, I rediscovered something life-changing: the profound healing power of the outdoors.
Inspired by the characters in the books I’ve loved—who were always drawn to the earth and found solace and strength in nature (think Jamie Fraser, Lyra Silvertongue, Galadriel, Tess Durbeyfield, Ayla, Arya Stark), and the area I live in (Cumbria, UK) I reconnected with my younger self, the one who eagerly explored the outdoors without hesitation. Being outside, breathing fresh air, and immersing myself in nature became my way back to balance and well-being.
I’m not here to tell my story, but to share the lessons I’ve learned along the way. While you won’t find any pictures of my face here, that’s because I prefer to remain behind the scenes. I believe this space is not about me, but about the message I want to share. My focus is on encouraging a deeper connection to nature and self-care, and I feel the words and ideas are what truly matter. It’s not about the person sharing them, but the experience and inspiration you take away. Nature is a place of transformation, and through regular outdoor practice, I’ve healed, refueled, and rediscovered a deeper sense of purpose. Now, I want to help you do the same.
Through this space, you’ll find prompts, inspiration, and practical advice to help you step outside, engage with nature, and reconnect with your truest self. I bring years of experience and learning—though, at its core, it’s simple: nature has a unique way of bringing us back to life. We are part of nature.
Whether you’re new to self-care or someone who’s been searching for a more mindful approach to life, you’re not alone on this journey. Let nature guide you. Let it teach you how to slow down, breathe, and discover the peace and energy you’ve been craving.
